John and John became best friends through their training and travels with gymnastics. They have combined their passion for the sport and their desire to give back to younger gymnasts by joining forces for Flip Fest.
WOW! Sorry it has been so long but we have been so busy! What a rush it has been. John, Lacy, and I have not gotten much sleep- but who cares? Last Sunday our dreams came true when we opened the doors to Flip Fest at Lake Frances. It is so cool to see it all come true. The kids are having a blast in the gym, on the ropes course and of course tubing on the lake. So many days passed when John and I would finish a hard days work, look out on to the lake and ropes course and say “can you imagine kids playing out there and hearing the sounds of camp.” Well last week we heard the sounds and saw the kids playing for the first time. What an amazing feeling when John and I went to the Olympics and did not win a gold medal but knew if we continued to work hard a gold medal would come into our lives in another way. Well, it has come in the form of Flip Fest. There is nothing better then hanging with your best friends and 180 amazing children at the most beautiful place on earth. We would like to thank all of you that came and helped finish the camp. There is no way we could have done it without you. Flip Fest Rocks!!!!!
