John and John became best friends through their training and travels with gymnastics. They have combined their passion for the sport and their desire to give back to younger gymnasts by joining forces for Flip Fest.
Wow, what a weekend. John and I are exhausted, but it was worth it. We had a blast with everyone at the Flip Fest Invitational this past weekend. There were over 2100 athletes that competed in women's and men's artistic gymnastics and power tumbling and trampoline. We saw some amazing gymnastics from some of the best young gymnasts in the country. Gymnasts were represented from over 20 states and judges came in from as far away as California.
It was great to see so many familiar faces stop by the Flip Fest booth. It was such a busy weekend, we're sorry if we didn't get a long time to catch with all of you. We hope you all had a chance to say "hi" to Randy Parrish and Phil Kingsley, who came in for the weekend too. We're excited that they will be with us all eleven weeks of camp this summer. Randy was in rare form as always as he was entertaining many of the gymnasts during the awards ceremonies.
We want to congratulate all of you on a great job this weekend. If things didn't go exactly how you wanted, remember, it's early in the season, and use the meet as learning experience and keep working hard.
Johnny R will be in St. Paul, Minnesota this weekend for the Winter Carnival meet and Phil Kingsley will be at the Winter Classic in Nashville, Tennessee. Be sure to say "hi" to them if any of you are attending those competitions. Good luck at your next competitons and thank you to everyone for coming to the Flip fest Inveitational this past weekend.
