John and John became best friends through their training and travels with gymnastics. They have combined their passion for the sport and their desire to give back to younger gymnasts by joining forces for Flip Fest.
We at Flip Fest are very concerned. The coach, pictured here, was evidently a coach last summer at Flip Fest. However, she does not appear on the staff page of the Flip Fest website. We fear she may have gone into hiding, disappeared, or worse, started coaching soccer. She was last seen wrestling alligators in Lake Frances (no there are not any alligators in Tennessee, don't tell her though) If anyone has information on the whereabouts of said coach, please contact us immediately, or check with your AYSO team. We believe her name is Amy, no maybe Annette, wait, no, I think it was Angelina a.k.a. Angie.
On a less serious note. I had a great time visiting Minnesota last weekend for the Winter Carnival Meet, hosted by my friends at Midwest Gymnastics. M-I-N-N-E-S-O-T-A!!! It was a great meet that hosted teams from mostly Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa and North and South Dakota. They did a great job running the meet. It was also nice as it coincided with college meets for both the Men's and Women's Minnesota Gymnastics teams. Go Gophers!
There was some great Minnesota weather too. I think it was like 1. With a windchill of about -50. I am still waiting for my face to thaw out.
We have a big weekend planned. Randy Parrish and I will be going to St. Louis for the Gateway Meet and John Macready and Phil Kingsley will be visiting Daytona Beach, FL for the Daytona Beach Invite. Once again, I get the cold weather. That's ok though, because Macready really needs a tan. Make sure to come up and say "Hi" to us if you see us. Keep working hard everyone. It's early in the season so if you're not perfect in all the meets yet, be patient. If you keep working, it will come together.
