John and John became best friends through their training and travels with gymnastics. They have combined their passion for the sport and their desire to give back to younger gymnasts by joining forces for Flip Fest.
Wow what an awesome weekend at the Circle of Stars Meet held in Indianapolis and hosted by Deveau's Gymnastics. This huge meet, with about 3500 gymnasts, both and girls and boys, was an incredible event. It was held in the Indianapolis Convention Center in Downtown Indy. We had a chance to hang-out with a lot of familiar faces and make some new friends. It was good to see some of our friends from USA Gymnastics which is located right down the street. Including Ron and Loree Galimore and Luan Peszek. Speaking of Luan, Congrats to you, your daughter Sam and to her club, Deveau's, for her invitation to the American Cup next weekend in Jacksonville, Florida. We'll see you there.
Randy was there too and as always was in rare form. Randy's got some new jokes and magic tricks so make sure you ask him to show you. Don't worry, as always, they're not good. Sorry Randy. John and I want to shout out to all the boy's we hung with this weekend in the awards room. Thanks for putting up with our trivia and bad jokes. However, I do want a rematch on the back flip stick contest that I lost. I was distracted by a camera flash. Honest.
We have a busy weekend coming up. We will be spending two days in Jacksonville for the American Cup then will be flying Saturday night to the John Macready March of Dimes Competition in Quincy, Illinois. We hope to see some of you on the road.
Thank you very much to Joan Deveau, all the parents and coaches at Deveau's for allowing us to be a part of their event. We know how much work they must have put into it and we want them to know what a great time it was. We hope to be a part of it for years to come. Keep posted, we have more photos to come.
