John and John became best friends through their training and travels with gymnastics. They have combined their passion for the sport and their desire to give back to younger gymnasts by joining forces for Flip Fest.
Well it's been a crazy week, but John and I couldn't miss the chance to go hang-out with our fellow Tennesseans at the State Meet in Chatanooga. Once again, Larry Denham did a great job putting on the meet, and we love getting to go to Chatanooga, what a great town.
There was a lot of great gymnastics. It was good to see even some of the smaller teams doing well. It was fun to catch up with some familiar faces, like State Director for girls Larry Corrigan. Thanks for that usual "neck hug", don't worry the doctor says I should be able to take the neck brace off in another month.
We talked to Mike Tataru, the State Director for boys, while we were there as well and it sounds like he wants to have the boys join the girls at the state clinic this year at Lake Frances. That would be great. We would love to have the boys out.
Of course one of our Camp Directors, Phil Kingsley, was there with his new team, Intrigue Athletics. It was good to catch up with him and gym owner Ginger Raines. Also, way to go Emily from Intrigue on making regionals. Tucker misses his girlfriend Anabelle by the way.
We look forward to seeing many of you at camp this summer.
